Rules for Exhibitors

General Information

1. MEMBERSHIP to the North Thompson Fall Fair & Rodeo Association is $20 per person. NTFFRA membership offers many benefits such as being able to vote at NTFFRA meetings; to be elected to a NTFFRA Board or Convenor position; liability coverage for volunteers while performing their duties in a responsible manner on the fairgrounds; and free entry into the 2022 North Thompson Fall Fair & Rodeo. Membership expires at the end of October each year.

2. EXHIBITOR FEE is $10.00.

The Exhibitor Fee is charged only once per exhibitor with multiple entries. NO exhibitor fee is paid if at least one of following exclusions applies to the exhibitor:

.•A 4-H Member entering a 4-H Event.

•The exhibitor is 10 years or under.

•The exhibitor is a 2021/2022 paid-up member of the North Thompson Fall Fair & Rodeo (bring your membership card with you).

3. HALL ENTRIES will pay the class entry fee (stated under the section/division/class being entered) PLUS the $10 exhibitor fee (unless eligible for exclusion under Rule #2). When these fees have been paid you will receive a 1 DAY PASS.

4. LIVESTOCK ENTRIES will pay the class entry fee (stated under the section/division/class) being entered PLUS the $10.00 exhibitor fee (except if eligible for exclusion under Rule #2).

When these fees have been paid, the exhibitor will receive one WEEKEND PASS (so animals can be tended each day of the Fair). If you are a 4-H Member your Pass will be given to your 4-H Leader.

5. EACH SECTION contains information about entry fees, closing dates, late fees, placement deadlines and other section-specific rules for entering. All fees owing on each entry form must be submitted with the entry form.

6. The EXHIBIT HALL will be open for the placement of exhibits as follows:
• Thursday, September 1, 2022, 10am to 6pm.
• Friday, September 2, 2022, 9am to 6 pm.

• Saturday, September 3, 2022- 7am to 8:30am

NOTE: Please ensure all entries are clean!

7. The POULTRY BARN will be closed for judging at 9am Saturday, September 3, 2022 until the judging is complete. ONLY Officials and Judges will be permitted into the barn from 9 am to conclusion of judging. There will be NO public or exhibitor admission allowed during judging.

8. The EXHIBIT HALL will be closed for judging Saturday, Sept. 3, 2022 from 9 am until 1:00 pm. During this time-span there will be NO public or exhibitor admission permitted
in the Hall to allow time for judging and placement of the protective barriers. The outside doors will be locked. ONLY Officials and Judges will be permitted into the Hall from 9 am to 1:00 pm.

9. NO HALL ENTRY MAY COMPETE FOR MULTIPLE CLASSES or be entered in 2022 if it has been previously exhibited.

10. Exhibitors CRITICIZING OR INTERFERING WITH THE JUDGE(s) while they are in the ring, in the exhibit hall, or on the grounds will automatically be disqualified.

11. ALL EXHIBITS, INCLUDING LIVESTOCK, MUST REMAIN ON DISPLAY until Monday September 5, 2022 at 4:30 pm.

12. The EXHIBITOR IS RESPONSIBLE for ensuring they have entered their exhibits on the correct entry form and in the correct Section, Division, and Class. Once an exhibit has been placed in the Hall CHANGES to any entry can only be made by the Registration Convenor with just cause.

Convenors CAN NOT make changes.

13. IF THERE IS ONLY ONE ENTRY in any Class, Second place will be awarded unless, in the estimation of the Judge, the quality of the entry is worthy of a First Place award.

LEGALITIES

14. WAIVER: ALL ENTRIES INTO THE NORTH THOMPSON FALL FAIR AND RODEO ARE EXHIBITED AT THE OWNER’S RISK. The Fair will not be responsible for any loss, damage, or injury. Exhibitors requiring fire, liability or any other insurance must obtain that insurance through their own insurance company. Waiver of liability statements on each entry form must be signed by the exhibitor or, if the exhibitor is a minor, signed by the parent or guardian.

15. CANADIAN COPYRIGHT LAWS prohibit the display or selling of artwork that has been copied from published sources: i.e. photos, calendars, magazines, etc.

16. The SALE OF RAFFLE TICKETS on the grounds during the Fair is prohibited except for tickets sold by the North Thompson Fall Fair & Rodeo Association.

17. PRIZE MONEY may be claimed at the Treasurer’s Office in the Agriplex, on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2022 and Monday, Sept. 5, 2022, during the Fair. Unclaimed prizes totalling $20 or more will be mailed out. Unclaimed prizes totalling less than $20 will be considered a donation to the Fair.
