FAQ
The light display will be open for the public on December 12, 13, 14 and 19, 20, 21, 22, 23. From 5 pm to 9 pm. Entry by donation.
Everyone and anyone. You can bring a display for yourself or family, a group, an organization, a business, your school.
Business – a group, organization, school, business. Please promote your organization.
Agriculture – A farm or ranch or livestock related group. Do you farm or ranch? Are you a 4H type of club?
Individual – An individual or family. Mom, Dad, children. Could be neighbours. A non commercial group of people.
A display can only be entered in one category. You could bring a second display for another category.
There will be a total of nine (9) cash prizes available. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each category.
$200.00 for 1st.place. $100.00 for 2nd place. $50 for 3rd place
Winners will be decided by popular vote. Each person who comes to the light display will receive a ballot or voting token that they can use to indicate their favourite display. The display in each category with the most votes will be declared the winner.
You will have access to one standard 120 volt 15 Amp outlet. You will need your own power bar if you have multiple strings of lights or blowups
Any size is good. Small and cheery is just as much fun as big and flashy. Maximum size of about 10 feet by 25 feet. (to allow for vehicles or displays mounted on a trailer) Contact us for details or if you have unique circumstances.
Lights. Inflatables, cutouts, wire frame objects. Pretty much anything festive. Did we mention lights?
We will provide a small sign indicating your category and your entry number.
Feel free to promote your business with a sign or logo. Please be tasteful, this is a holiday light festival, not a trade show. Maximum size 12 inches by 24 inches.
We will try to showcase your display as best we can. Factors such as size, entry confirmation date, similar displays and other factors may affect placement. Specific placement of displays will be at the discretion of the Christmas at the Fair committee.
We would like to have all displays ready to test by December the 8th. You can set up between November 30th and December 8th.
